{February Engagement & Wedding Special} Little Pals Photography | Sterling IL

Playing catch on the blog……
In December I donated my time and talent to LSSI for their yearly fund raising show. Directed and Produced by Heather Hartzell
Lutheran Social Services of Illinois is the largest social service organization in the state.
LSSI’s services include Children’s Community Services, Behavioral Health Services, Prisoner and Family Ministry and Senior Services
For more information on the services they provide you can go to www.LSSI.org or call 1-888-671-0300
In December they celebrated the 10th Annual Seeing Stars which is a variety show featuring local talent of all ages.
For the last three years I have volunteered my services for photography to use in their promotional ads for the show. Some of you may remember last year’s billboard with Marilyn Monroe look alike. The picture of the group from the billboard is in my flash header.
And this year you may have seen this photos on placemats at many restaurants in town.
I attended dress rehearsal night and captured hundreds of photos and have been meaning to share a few for awhile but holidays got away from me.
So better late than never here is just a few of the many images I took…………
Its time to vote for your favorite fresh face! Due to the limited number of entries I have combined them all into one category. There will be one grand prize winner and the remaining non-winning families instead of receiving half off a session fee each family will receive a coupon good for a standard session fee and 20% off standard prints (8×10 and smaller). That is a $50 value! (plus the added savings on prints)
For all other rules please refer to the Fresh Faces tab above.
Voting will run thru Monday June 14th at 8PM CST
Voting is allowed once per day per IP address.
In the event of a tie, the top 3 voting getting entries will be submitted to a panel of photographers for final voting decision.
Thank you to all the submitted entries………. good luck! and spread the word to family and friends to vote for your fav!

Congratulations to the happy couple Rachel & Ken!
Their wedding took place on Saturday in a quaint little church just outside of Dixon. The weather decided to fool us, it was supposed to be a partly cloudy but beautiful day…… turned into a windy spitting rain day which kept us indoors for formals instead of heading to a park for some fun bridal party pics. After a few minor technical issues (thanks for your patience everyone) we managed to complete the formals. The rain stopped long enough for us to get a few pics outside of the church before heading off to the reception.
The Maid of Honor is a fellow photographer who traded services with me. She was the photographer for my brother’s wedding in August that I was a bridesmaid in……..
Nice to have friends!
Well it is that time of year again! Dance recitals…….. every young girls dream to be on the stage coming true.
This year happens to be the first time my little one will be following in her older sister’s footsteps and performing on stage.
I am certain there will be tears in my eyes as I see my youngest on stage just as there was for my oldest daughter each and every time she performed. It never gets old. And you never can check those emotions at the door. There is something so special and touching about seeing your children showing off their independence, confidence and lets not forget those adorable little costumes!
Speaking of costumes….. we picked her very first dance recital costume this past week. So of course being a mom with all her own studio equipment I had to take the opportunity to get some pictures for the memory book! Here is some we captured today. Isn’t she the most adorable thing ever? Well yes I am a bit biased because she is mine, but I am ok with that! ![]()
